The LEGO Engineering & Robotics Camp offers a hands-on learning experience where children utilize LEGO® Bricks to construct models, engage in games, and delve into the realms of engineering, architecture, and robotics. The program is designed to inspire creativity, problem-solving, and a love for learning. For older students (Grades 4-6), the camp features advanced challenges, including complex LEGO builds, advanced engineering concepts, introductory robotics, and beginner programming projects using WeDo & Lego Spike model sets. Each 5-day camp session introduces kids to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) and builds skills through high-energy challenges, building, design opportunities, and concept exploration. The curriculum incorporates a spiral learning method, starting with basic building skills and engineering terms, and progressively introducing these principles in new contexts and greater depth. Campers will build 7-8 models each week, focusing on a different mechanical engineering topic daily, followed by a motorized Lego build. There will also be one art/craft/experiment-based activity daily.
A typical day includes a meditative exercise and circle time, followed by a mechanical engineering topic and a motorized Lego build.
