About this camp

Destination Science's Jedi Engineering Summer Camp offers elementary-aged children a hands-on exploration of space and engineering concepts. Campers engage in three daily science stations, working collaboratively and independently on experiments and building projects. Activities are designed to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, while also encouraging social development through teamwork and friendship-building games during two daily outdoor action stations. Children will design and build gadgets, explore the science behind light, sound, and motion, and delve into concepts like chain reactions and magnetism. Each week culminates in a cumulative project that campers take home, allowing them to continue their learning and share their creations with family. The camp emphasizes making science fun and accessible, helping children connect scientific principles to everyday life and guarding against summer learning loss.
