Students have the opportunity to turn their camp projects into entries for national and global tech competitions and publish them on real platforms like the App Store or Google Play.
Coding Mind's AI + Python camp offers an engaging and educational experience where middle school students delve into the world of artificial intelligence and Python programming. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning, enabling students to develop intelligent applications and solve real-world problems through practical implementation. Participants will gain a strong foundation in Python, covering core programming concepts like data structures, functions, control flow, and object-oriented thinking. They will also explore data science basics, learning to organize, visualize, and manipulate data using Python libraries, a vital skill for future coders and engineers. The camp introduces machine learning fundamentals, allowing students to get hands-on with AI by implementing simple predictive models and classifying data. A key outcome is the opportunity to develop competition-ready projects and potentially publish them on platforms like the App Store or Google Play, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset from idea to startup. Students will master AI tools and cultivate AI-first thinking to stay ahead in the tech world.
A typical day involves live coding sessions where instructors introduce new concepts, followed by interactive Q&A. Students then engage in hands-on coding exercises, working on individual tasks and group projects to apply what they've learned and build practical skills.
The ideal student is one interested in coding, robotics, digital arts, or STEM activities, eager to learn by doing, and keen on developing projects for real-world applications and competitions.
