Campers build a different whimsical robot every day based on weekly themes and get to take their creations home.
Brooklyn Robot Foundry's Summer Circuits camp offers a hands-on, screen-free STEAM experience where children ages 5-12 build and program whimsical robots daily. Each week features a unique theme, allowing campers to explore different robot projects, crafts, and games. Students gain confidence in building with their hands, learning to use tools, and understanding basic concepts in circuitry and engineering. The curriculum emphasizes developing soft skills crucial for engineers, such as collaboration and teamwork. Campers will also engage in creative design and problem-solving through trial-and-error, fostering their imaginative potential. Every day, children build a unique robot that they can customize and take home.
A typical day includes welcome and sign-in, a morning meeting, snack time, a movement break, robot building, lunch, park/play time, quiet time, a craft activity, and choice time before packing up and dismissal.
This camp is ideal for creative kids who love to tinker, explore, and build with their hands, and who are interested in robotics, engineering, and STEAM concepts.
