Students learn to control their self-designed video games using AI-powered hand gesture recognition, turning players into creators.
Students in the AI & Robotics Academy: Video Game Design camp will engage in hands-on activities to create their own video games from scratch. A core component of the program involves utilizing Artificial Intelligence to train computers to recognize hand gestures, enabling players to control game characters without traditional input devices like keyboards. This immersive experience transforms participants from passive players into active creators, fostering skills in game design, AI integration, and interactive technology. The curriculum focuses on practical application and creative problem-solving within the exciting field of video game development and artificial intelligence.
A typical day involves designing video game elements and training AI to recognize hand gestures for game control.
This camp is ideal for middle school students interested in combining creativity with technology to build their own interactive video games.
